Appalachian foothills of Western North Carolina, just two hours north
of Atlanta.
Situated in a valley two thousand five hundred feet above sea level,
Mill Creek is surrounded on all sides by beautiful forested mountains
that provide breathtaking views from every perspective.

The
golf course at Mill Creek is straightforward and does not require your
career shot to by-pass the hazards. We have no hidden hazards or green
side bunkers that require a catapult or slingshot to escape. With a
variety of tee locations, Mill Creek is playable for golfers of every
level. This is a course built with the golfer in mind, placing outdoor
activity, recreation, and enjoyable surroundings above an architect's
perverse intention to test a player on every shot. Longer hitters are
presented with risk versus reward situations, and the shorter hitters
can play without a premium on length. Course management is the key to
scoring well without over-emphasizing it.
The setting of Mill Creek is quaint, the landscape innocent. Skill
and finesse are more important than raw power and distance. Fairways
vary in width and undulation. Each hole has its own identity. The lay
of the land requires shaping the ball while utilizing every club in
the bag to meet the demands of
the
course.
Perhaps the only real hidden hazard on the entire course is that the
lovely surroundings and beautiful forested mountain views, that can
be seen from every hole on the course, can soothe frayed nerves and
lull a player into tranquility. Our bent grass greens and tees, Bermuda
fairways, the blue spruce and perennials, lush leafed hardwood trees
on the mountain slopes, all combine into a course that lends itself
to this transformation of one's mind and is the ideal setting for relaxing
golf.
